{Calligraphy Monday} Teacher Appreciation + A Giveaway

On this Monday morning, we're featuring a special project we did for a client who wanted to say thank you to a special teacher.

Our client Jacob had a wonderful experience in his Spanish class--the students just seemed to have a special connection, both with each other and with the teacher. So to commemorate the class, the students took a class picture and are mounting it along with this calligraphy message on a special plaque, to present to their professor!

We love this beautiful message, expressing how inspiring a teacher can be!

In honor of April being National Letter-Writing Month, we wanted to encourage our readers to write a thank you note to someone who's inspired you or to someone you appreciate…and we're making it easy for you by giving away four sets of our letterpress thank you notes!

Each set contains four thank you notes, with a variety of ways to say "thanks"! Your set may include "Thanks," "Grazie," "Merci," or "Gracias" (or any combination of these).

{Invitation} Rub a Dub Dub Baby Shower

Happy Monday 2 Hearts readers!

It's spring, and that means it is definitely wedding season and baby season! :) Spring baby showers are always fun to plan, since spring signifies new birth, growth, and beginnings…and these are all symbolic of having a baby as well! So today we're bringing you an invitation, coordinating thank you notes, and tags that we created for our dear friend Erica of Sweet E's Bake Shop last year. She already had her sweet little boy, and we just love the theme she chose!

For this particular shower, Erica chose a rubber duckie theme. How cute is that? We played off the bath time idea and used bubbles as a border for the invite, with little rubber duckies on the bottom. A few bubbles received a little glitter to give it that extra sparkle!

We created these custom tags as well for Erica to tie on favor bags at the shower. This design can easily be taken into other elements for a shower, such as cupcake toppers, water bottle labels, and dessert table signage. 

And of course you can't forget thank you notes!

Again several bubbles received the "glitter treatment" which gives the thank you notes that extra pop.

We hope these photos give you another idea for your baby shower inspiration! It's such a sweet theme that is adorable for a baby boy, but can also be modified for a baby girl as well.

{Baby Shower Details} Green, White, & Gold Baby Sprinkle

Hi there! We hope you're having a fantastic week!

Today we're brining you this adorable green, white, and gold chevron "sprinkle" invitation. For those of you who aren't familiar with "sprinkles," it is a baby shower, but for a second (or third, etc.) baby. They are typically smaller and a bit more casual, so instead of a "shower," you're "sprinkling" the mom to be with love! :)

Our client came to us and let us know she wanted the sprinkle's color scheme to be kelly green, gold, and white. The other fun factor in this party? It was being held at Sprinkles Cupcakes! How apropos! :)

We started with a shimmer gold card stock, then printed the invitation on white card stock in kelly green and gold ink. The chevron pattern is fresh and modern, perfect for a "sprinkle"!

We also created coordinating thank you notes for the mom-to-be, so she could send her "sprinkle of thanks" to her guests afterward!

The green, gold, and white color palette is so fresh, modern, and fun. We can't wait to use it again for another project!

{Merci Beaucoup} A Paris Thank You!

You may remember the sweet vintage style invitations we did for Kim & Reggie's Paris themed baby shower a couple weeks ago...

Today we wanted to share the matching thank you notes we designed to coordinate with them!

We used the same rectangular shimmer white card stock printed with an Eiffel Tower "stamp," postage symbols, and the cute vintage bird holding the "thank you" sign.

Coordinating kraft envelopes embellished with Paris paper tape completes the antique feel.

Wouldn't it be just as much fun to write one of these thank you notes as it would be to receive it?

No baby shower would be complete without special thank you notes to express your gratitude to all your guests.

And let's face it, it's much more fun to write them when they're functional and pretty! :)

I Do Bridal Show 2013

We are excited to share pics with you today from the I Do Bridal Show
we participated in last weekend. Thank you Christine from Fancy That! for inviting us to be a part of your dynamic show. It was a joy to be associated in good company and enjoy a wonderful day of food, fun, friends, vendors, brides, beauty, love and sharing our joy for sweets, creativity and paper!

The show was held at the Langham Huntington Hotel in beautiful Pasadena, California
in their grand ballroom. What a spectacular event!

How cute is this check-in table? We fell in LOVE with it!

The show was filled with beautiful inspiration, confections, and sights to dazzle the eyes and senses. We are so happy with the images Duke Photography captured of our table.

We utilized our table to showcase our calligraphy, custom tags, cupcake toppers, signage, thank you notes, and of course, wedding invitations.

This gorgeous cake (along with the cupcakes) was created by our friend Mahtab of My Little Cupcake Bakery. Just like how we can take your vision and put it on to paper, Mahtab can put your vision into cake! She has some creative delicious flavors. You're in for a treat with this bakery. My personal favorite is her coconut cake with caramel filling.
