{Invitations} Festive Frozen Birthday Invitations

Hi there!

We're excited to share these adorable Frozen-themed birthday invitations with you all today. We designed them for a friend and think they just turned out adorable! (Thanks to the cutie on the front! ;)

With the popularity of Frozen-themed birthdays right now, we think it's especially important to put your personal touch on the invitation. That's why we loved the addition of the picture of sweet Ainsley in her Frozen costume on this one! Plus the die-cut snowflakes, patterned paper, and vellum give a nice texture and dimension.

Let us know if you need help putting your personal touch on your party invitations--we'd be happy to help! :)

Happy Monday!

{Invitation} Festive Kite Birthday Invitation

I hope this Monday is finding you all doing well!

With one official week of summer left to go (the first day of fall is next Tuesday, September 23rd…it's not like we're counting or anything ;), we are savoring the last moments of the season. We know we will be trading the sun, sand, and outdoor gatherings for scarves and sweaters before we know it…although here in southern California, we are having a major heatwave…so it's hard to even imagine wearing a sweater right now!

Two weekends ago we celebrated Jillian's husband's birthday at a beautiful park in Malibu.

Here was the festive invitation she created for him:

Jillian printed the invitation on a shimmer card stock, then cut it in a diamond-shape to look like a kite. She punched a hole in the bottom, then used a variety of twine and ribbon to create the tail.

An airy, festive, fun birthday invitation, perfect for the beach or park, is the result!

It was a wonderful celebration, full of good food, good friends, and fun.
So here's your reminder to soak up the rest of the season this week, and give a toast to summer!

Have a wonderful Monday!

{Invitation} Simple & Sophisticated Bridal Shower

Hi there!

Today we're featuring a bridal invitation that is pretty, simple, and sophisticated…all of our favorite things! Take a look!

A shimmer silver enclosure is fastened with a sparkly silver sash. To secure the sash, a pretty paper flower detail topped with a sparkly embellishment completes the enclosure and wraps up the invitation beautifully!

The inside of the invitation features a pretty pink ombre paper matted with a mint card stock. The beautiful fonts lend elegance and the small rhinestone embellishment gives it that hint of sparkle.

Bridal shower perfection! :)

{Design} Sweet 2nd Birthday Hello Kitty Invitations

Who would think that all of these funny-shaped stickers would come together to create the face of one of the cutest kitties around? :)

Well, they sure do, and that's exactly how we created these adorable Hello Kitty themed birthday invitations for sweet Ainsley!

Ainsley was turning two, and her sweet mama wanted to give her a Hello Kitty themed party…so we knew we had to set the tone in style! :)

The enclosure slipped on the invitation like a sleeve, so just the checked Hello Kitty-bow peeked out the top.

We created coordinating envelopes with a little birthday kitty announcing the news on the front! :)

And here is adorable Ainsley checking out her invitation! (I think she liked it! ;)

It's so fun creating birthday memories for the little ones in our life, isn't it? To see the joy on their face and the delight in their eyes when they realize we are having a party for them! :)

Let us know how we can help you make your little one's birthday special as well!

Have a great day!

{Design} Leighton's Woodland Fairy Birthday Invitation

One of our wonderful clients, Jacqueline, came to us with the idea of doing a woodland fairy birthday party for her daughter's 4th birthday. She gave us a few images of inspiration, and together this is what we came up with:

It's elegant while still being young with a touch of whimsy…we really loved the outcome!

Invitations were rolled up and wrapped with this leaf-embellished ribbon:

Then adorned with a tiny "Once Upon a Time…" tag and a whimsical, sparkly ornament...

Each invitation was then placed in a coordinating purple box and nestled in some moss.

Jillian finished each invitation by writing each guest's name in white calligraphy:

A truly magical result, don't you think? :)

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

{Design} Minnie Mouse Themed 1st Birthday Invitation

A first birthday is a big deal!

So many fun themes and ideas to choose from, where does one start? We don't have children of our own yet, but sometimes I already find myself thinking about cute first birthday ideas for our future children! ;) Am I alone on this?…Maybe it's just my party-planning brain on overdrive! ;)

From our experience creating first birthday invitations, a good place to start is usually with something your one year old loves…whether that's a specific character from a TV show, a movie, a color, or even a food!

One of our clients came to us recently with a request for a Minnie Mouse-themed first birthday invitation. We loved this idea, since we love all things Disney ourselves!

And here's what we came up with:

So fun!
While we didn't get to see pictures of sweet little Ava's actual party, we found plenty of inspiration for Minnie Mouse-themed birthdays~take a look and see!

Like this adorable bright pink, black, and white 5th birthday from Triple M Good Parties:

And look at this gorgeous cake from this party!

And I love the muted pinks from this 3rd birthday party…what a stunning dessert table!

 {Both photos via}

See what I mean? So many pretty and festive options to choose from, even when you've narrowed down your theme! :) That's when it's all about choosing details and elements that are representative of your little one's personality, or simply details that you love as the momma! :)

What are your favorite first birthday ideas? We'd love to know!
And we'd love to help you create a custom invitation for your little one's next big birthday as well! Let us know how we can help :)

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

{Design} Beautiful Cream & Gold Letterpress Wedding Invitation

Hi there!

If you visited here on Monday, you saw this post with the sneak peak at these invitations.
Well, without further ado, let's take a look at the full invitation in all of it's letterpress glory! :)

Ahhhh…isn't it positively lovely?
We can't get enough of the gilded edges, letterpress printing, and names written in calligraphy…by our own Jillian Yee-Pham! :) Simply gorgeous.

And here's a look at the rsvp postcard as well…

The back:

And the front:

So, so pretty!

The invitation and rsvp card were tied together with twine and this pretty tag for a look that's slightly rustic, slightly vintage-feeling, and completely elegant!

Thank you Dara and Brian for the privilege of being part of your special day! Your invitations are truly beautiful.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

{Frosting Friday} A Sweet Surprise Birthday!

Happy Friday 2 Hearts readers!

It's Kylie here, and today we have another sweet invitation to end the week (and the month of all things love and sweets) with this "Sweet Surprise Birthday" invitation we did a few years ago for a guy very close to my heart…my husband Kyle! :)

I knew I wanted to do a sweets theme for his birthday, with a red and aqua color palette, so Jillian designed this amazingly creative invitation to set the tone for the surprise party!

I was going to serve coffee and dessert for a few close friends, so the invitation reflected the details, along with a note to be "prompt" since the birthday boy would be arriving shortly after the guests arrived!

One of my favorite details of this invitation was the coordinating shimmer red envelope, lined with a colorful gumdrop liner!

This invitation reflected my vision for the party perfectly--I just fell in love with them when I saw the finished result! :)

Here are a few more photos from the party as well:

The dessert table

I made the birthday banner myself by downloading this free birthday banner printable by Anders Ruff, mounting it on card stock and stringing it up with red ribbon.

My husband's favorite cake is Susie Cakes' Celebration Cake ;)

Cupcakes were from The Cupcakery in Thousand Oaks, and I created the coordinating dessert table signage.

No dessert table is complete without a variety of sweets!

I adhered these "YUM" printable tags to lollipops for some extra fun ;)

More cupcakes! :)

We had a few bowls of popcorn spread out around the room to balance out all the sweet!

Jillian created these adorable coordinating labels for the treat bags~each guest got to fill a goodie bag with treats for the road!

This was such a fun birthday theme! Everyone enjoyed getting to pick and choose their treats, so it's important to have a variety of sweets that appeal to everyone. Every time I look back at pictures of this party I smile :) And I can't say enough about how much I loved these invitations! They truly set the tone for the birthday and the afternoon.

And on a personal note, today is my husband's actual birthday, so sending out special birthday wishes to him today! Thank you for being the best husband ever! :) xoxo

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
