{Calligraphy Monday} Blue & White Birthday Invitation

Hello 2 Hearts readers!

We hope you had a fabulous weekend, recovering from your sugar-induced Halloween candy comas :)
Today we're sharing an invitation Jillian created for a client who was throwing a 50th birthday bash in Germany for a small group of friends.

Each invitation was written by hand in white ink.
We used a brilliant shimmer blue card stock and matted in a solid white card stock, then added rhinestone embellishments to give it a little extra sparkle.

The result is quite striking, wouldn't you say?
We love this color scheme for invitations and party decor moving into the winter months. Brilliant blues, silvers, and whites all look so beautiful together!

Have a fabulous Monday!

{Free Printable} Happy Halloween & Our First Free Printable!

Hello 2 Hearts B 1 readers!
We hope you are all having a spook-tacular day so far (sorry, couldn't resist ;) We are sooo excited to share with you our very first free printable today! The first of many to come!

You can follow the link below to download a free pdf file of some of our Halloween tags...these little cuties can be used for cupcake toppers, cake pop toppers, or custom tags! The possibilities really are endless!
(Also, a side note: for some reason, the preview of this pdf file shows three of the tags being off center :/ Rest assured, though, when you download it, everything is perfectly centered!)

Here are a few ways they've been used in the past (along with other coordinating signage) that you might remember!

They are the perfect addition to your Halloween sweets :)

Don't forget to check out the Halloween treats available from our good friends at Sweet E's Bake Shop...

and also at Dessert!

Have a happy and safe Halloween, and we'll see you back here on the blog on Monday! :)

{Wedding Wednesday} Kristine & Peter's Merlot Wedding Details

Hello!

Today we're sharing this gorgeous wedding held at Justin Vineyards in Paso Robles, California last year. Kristine and Peter are a sweet couple whose wanted their wedding details to express their affinity for travel, wine, and of course their love for each other! Peter is an actor, and Kristine manages La Perla in Beverly Hills, so we knew their wedding would have the essence of Hollywood glamour tempered with the elegance of wine country.

We had the privilege of creating menus, programs, and place cards for their special day.
Check out these images by Lindsey Hahn Photography!

The couple's color palette was merlot and cream.
Luggage tags adorned with travel stamps were used as place cards, and each guest's name was written in merlot ink.

Coordinating "Mr" and "Mrs" signs graced the newlyweds' chairs.

Beautiful!

Love this!

The fan programs matched the merlot and cream color palette, and also helped keep guests cool for the June wedding. This gorgeous theme would be beautiful for this time of year as well; you could even add in a beautiful gray or pewter shade, like we did in our inspiration board here:

A special thank you to Kristine & Peter for allowing us to be a part of your special day! Congratulations again!

{Calligraphy Monday} Calligraphy Pumpkins

Hi there!

We hope everyone had a nice weekend. Ours were filled with weddings and high school reunions, so lots of fun was had!

Since we're in full fall-mode, we wanted to share this gorgeous idea that would be perfect for your mantle, front porch, or table setting this season. Calligraphy pumpkins!

We found this gorgeous photo via Pinterest, and fell in love! How lovely on your front porch!

We also love the idea of these mini pumpkins on your table setting. They serve double duty as decor and a place card!

And who doesn't love a monogram? These pumpkins would be lovely on a porch, mantle, or entryway table.

Oh how we love calligraphy...it simply makes everything better :)

Let us know how we can help with your next calligraphy project!

Happy Monday!

{Frosting Friday} Black & White Halloween

Happy Friday 2 Hearts readers!

We really can't believe it's Friday, and that it's the middle of October; this month is just going too fast! We have some fun things in store for you next week on the blog, so stay tuned, and be sure to check back on Friday next week especially! ;)

We also wanted to remind you how fabulous custom cupcake toppers look at any get-together, and if you're planning a Halloween party (especially one geared toward adults), you may want to consider garnishing your sweets with these fabulous details. Remember these cupcakes (made by our friend Mahtab) from the I Do Bridal Show

Even though these say "Will You Marry Me?" how cute would they be if instead you had "Happy," "Halloween," and "Boo" written instead?
Black calligraphy on white card stock matted with a simple black scalloped border.
Fab!

They would be the centerpiece of your dessert table, that's for sure. Cupcakes like these fit in perfectly with a black and white themed Halloween party like this one.

Have a fabulous Friday!

{Wedding Wednesday} Coral & Gray Save the Dates

We had the privilege of creating save the dates for a lovely couple this year. Soledad & Eric envisioned their wedding with pretty corals and grays, but not overly feminine. To set the tone, we helped them refine their vision and create a simple, yet elegant design.

Their wedding would be outside, so they wanted the save the dates to be simple, and allow the beauty of the outdoor location to be the focus. The flourish design incorporated is reminiscent of the natural elements used in their venue.

We absolutely love this color palette, and the elegant simplicity of this design.

To see our coral, pink, & gray wedding inspiration, be sure to check out our Pinterest board here!

Have a great day!

{Calligraphy Monday} Calligraphy Prayer

This Monday, we're sharing a beautiful prayer that a client requested Jillian pen in calligraphy.

What a lovely idea to frame this as art for the home, or to give as a gift.
Jillian matched the ink color with the blue linen matting paper, for an effect that's as serene and calming as the words of the prayer itself.

If you have a special project in mind, let us know how we can help put your vision onto paper.

Have a wonderful Monday!
