Good morning everyone!

As you know, yesterday was the day of the much anticipated bridal show, Unveiled.
It was our second year participating, and we were eager to share all we've been working on with brides and vendors alike.

We are happy to report that it was a beautiful success! All of the vendors put on amazing displays..talk about inspiration..and we had a chance to mix and mingle with new brides, wedding planners, and vendors in the industry. The weather was beautiful and our surroundings were inspiring...can't wait to share all the photos with you!

Just wanted to give you a sneak peek...more to come soon!

Unveiled Update!

Looks like we could have used some of these today....
{Photo via daily.wedshare.com}

Hi everyone~as most of you know today was the day for the much anticipated bridal show, Unveiled! Well, unfortunately, due to the rain, the event had to be postponed until tomorrow :(

**Unveiled will be held at the same location tomorrow, Monday, March 28, 2011 from 4 to 8pm**

I know, I know! Our faces were about as dreary as the cloudy sky as we sat waiting for the rain to stop this morning. The decision was made to push it to tomorrow so that everything would have a chance to dry out, and all the wonderful vendors could show their amazing displays the way they're supposed to be seen. And so brides can look around without splashing in puddles!

We are sorry for the inconvenience, but we hope that if you were planning on coming out today, you will stop by tomorrow and say hi! Our samples and display are works of love, and we are excited and proud to show it all to you!

Thank you for your understanding, and we hope to see you tomorrow!

Well Noted.

As you all know, I love paper. Some might not be as obsessed as I am, but everyone has a need for it. Think about how many times a day you reach for a post-it or a blank sheet of scratch paper.

Well, why settle for blank yellow sheets when you can have personalized notepads?

I used the idea of personalized notes as a party favor for a dinner that a client was hosting. Not only was it a sweet take away for her guests, but it also served as a place card for the table.
Each pad was personalized and reflected each individuals personality.
The pads varied in sizes and could easily be used for any occasion at one's desk, kitchen table, or even their car!
All the pads were coordinated together in a lovely paper box that matched in color with the guests theme.
I also added colored rhinestone and paper clips to dress it up that much more.
The client was so happy, and I am sure her guests were as well!!

{Party Accents} Sassy Little Cookies

Hello everyone, it's Kylie here! First of all I just want to say how excited I am to be a part of 2 Hearts B 1 Designs! I met Jillian a few years ago at a workshop she was teaching (they are fabulous if you have the chance to go!) and that's when I first learned of 2 Hearts B 1 and all the beautiful things she was doing. Her projects and appreciation for details inspired me, as I also share a passion for design, stationery, calligraphy, and event planning. A series of events led me to meeting with Jillian again and becoming her intern; and now, I am officially part of 2 Hearts B 1! I am truly honored to be working with such a talented, beautiful friend.

It is our goal to be a source of inspiration for your wedding and event detail needs :)

So now for my first post...

They're a little sassy, but super cute...lingerie cookies! I had a lot of fun making these cookies and have been anxious to share this fun idea with all of you!

I got this idea from the wonderful girls at HowDoesShe (see their great tutorial here).

I originally made these cookies for my husband for Valentine's Day. Shortly after, I was invited to a lingerie shower, and thought they would be an adorable addition to the desserts! These little cuties would be perfect for a lingerie shower or bachelorette party.

The original recipe calls for homemade sugar cookie dough and royal icing (both recipes can be found on the tutorial). I however, was a little crunched for time so I decided to try them the "semi-homemade" way, as Sandra Lee would say ;)

I used store-bought sugar cookie dough and store-bought frosting. Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out your basic shapes. Then I tinted vanilla frosting to make the raspberry pink icing, and added black food coloring to chocolate frosting to get the black icing.

Here's a trick I learned from Sandra Lee--tint your store-bought frosting in the container, then put it in the microwave for 10 seconds (or until it's pouring consistency). I then poured it in a piping bag, and decorated the cookies (the same way they show in the tutorial).

I used the sprinkles shown on HowDoesShe, but you could always get creative and try some other varieties!

I used some leftover dough to make "I {heart} U" (since it was for Valentine's Day)...but for a bachelorette party you could always use any leftover dough to make the bride's initial, etc.

I thought they turned out pretty good the semi-homemade way!

I think I'll try the royal icing recipe when I have a bit more time, but this is a quick, fun way to add a bit of sass to any occasion ;) You should definitely give them a whirl for your next bachelorette party or lingerie shower!

If you try them, please share! We'd love to see pictures!

Happy baking!

xoxo

Sidekick!

Drumroll please.... I have hired my first staffer!!

I would like to formally introduce you all to my new sidekick, Kylie Guglielmetti

Kylie first approached me to be an intern. And, for months she has shown nothing but hard work, dedication and eagerness to learn and grow with 2 Hearts B 1.

Look at that smiley face! Here she is putting together event details on a very special day for a thirteen year old girl's Bat Mitzvah.

The theme of the Shapiro Bat Mitzvah was all things purple and floral. Hence, the rose petals on the table with the placecards.

Kylie is awesome guys!

She helped me so much on the big day. From, assembling table numbers and place cards to aiding me in design execution.

I think Danielle's love of purple hues and florals translated throughout the whole event. That point came across especially in the original invite I created.

I put my heart and soul into every item I make with my hands and every event I help my clients with. I hope you all see that in these posts.

And from here on out, it will not just be my blood, sweat and tears. 'Cause, Batman had Robin, Snoopy had Woodstock, Rocky had Bullwinkle,
and Jillian has Kylie!!
