Well, it's official!

2 Hearts B 1 Designs is a 2013 Pick for The Knot's Best Of Weddings!

We are so excited to be named a Best Of Weddings pick again this year; it truly means the world!
In addition to having a good rating from the Better Business Bureau, we have to have stellar real bride reviews from clients like you. Only the top 4 percent of local vendors on The Knot receive this award, so we are truly honored!

Thank you to all our wonderful brides and clients who make doing what we do such an honor and a joy.

Here's to a wonderful 2013!

Cheers!

Pink & Gold

Even though Valentine's Day was last week, we are still relishing in this season that celebrates love (can you blame us?) We can't resist everything pink, romantic, and heart shaped. And maybe we're still running on sugar from all those candy hearts we ate...maybe  :)

We also wanted to share this lovely custom Valentine project we created for one of our clients, featuring a color palette that is turning up everywhere right now: pink & gold.

Take a look!

Our client picked out the paper elements she wanted us to use, such as the shimmer gold card stock, gold and white velum paper, and pink heart die cuts.

She loved this hot pink sheer ribbon and wanted us to incorporate this along with the adorable sparkly heart stickers.

Jillian wrote each person's name in gold ink for the perfect gilded touch.

The effect was a perfectly polished, perfectly gilded pink and gold Valentine.

We are personally loving this pink and gold combination. You're seeing it everywhere, from fashion to weddings to baby showers.

Love these goodie bags!

Lovin' these Louboutins!

And who could resist these gilded macaroons?

How would you incorporate pink and gold into your next celebration?

Salty & Sweet

How adorable is this framed chalkboard sign we did for a client's dessert table? Made us think about how...

Food reflects the man.
Did you know that
George Washington had a thing for Madeira wine, cherries and hazelnuts.
Abraham Lincoln liked apples and coffee.
Obama enjoys trail mix and Fran's Chocolates of Seattle.
Presidents who knew how to mix their salty with their sweet.
Men who have won our hearts!
Hope your day is filled with all the sweet and salty things you love!

Happy President's Day!

God Bless America!

Valentines & Vows

This post speaks directly to our married readers ;)

{But if you're not married, you can certainly take some inspiration from this post too!}

Want to wow your sweetie this Valentine's Day with a gift that's
heartfelt, thoughtful, & timelessly beautiful?

Then take a cue from this sweet couple we had the honor of working with.

For a first year anniversary, the traditional gift to give is paper.
John came to us on a mission to write out their wedding vows as a gift to have framed & adorn to forever remember those precious words that were spoken on that heavenly day!

Jillian wrote out their vows in calligraphy using a midnight black ink, on Crane's Lettra card stock.

What a sweet way to show your husband or wife how dear they are to your heart!
This will preserve and display those vows in a beautiful way.

Frame these and display them in your bedroom or wherever you'd like a lovely reminder of
the love you've chosen together.
So, husbands out there take note...wink, wink!

Happy Valentine's Day!

xoxo

Love Letters

This week we have all things romantic, heart-shaped, frosting-topped, handmade, chocolate-dipped, and XO-embellished on our minds. And if you know us well, we think everything looks better adorned with a handwritten note. In this day and age of email, Facebook, and twitter, your handwriting hand is probably a bit rusty, but think of how special your Valentine will feel when they see you've carefully penned their name on a tag, note, or letter just for them.

So whether you're penning a love letter with a feather quill pen dipped in an inkwell, or sending the sweet version {like these gorgeous cookies from Sweetapolita}, take the time this week to let those you love just how special they are to you.

And if you need some extra Valentine's Day inspiration, check out our Pinterest board for more sweet delights for the eyes!

I Do Bridal Show 2013

We are excited to share pics with you today from the I Do Bridal Show
we participated in last weekend. Thank you Christine from Fancy That! for inviting us to be a part of your dynamic show. It was a joy to be associated in good company and enjoy a wonderful day of food, fun, friends, vendors, brides, beauty, love and sharing our joy for sweets, creativity and paper!

The show was held at the Langham Huntington Hotel in beautiful Pasadena, California
in their grand ballroom. What a spectacular event!

How cute is this check-in table? We fell in LOVE with it!

The show was filled with beautiful inspiration, confections, and sights to dazzle the eyes and senses. We are so happy with the images Duke Photography captured of our table.

Take a look!

We utilized our table to showcase our calligraphy, custom tags, cupcake toppers, signage, thank you notes, and of course, wedding invitations.

This gorgeous cake (along with the cupcakes) was created by our friend Mahtab of My Little Cupcake Bakery. Just like how we can take your vision and put it on to paper, Mahtab can put your vision into cake! She has some creative delicious flavors. You're in for a treat with this bakery. My personal favorite is her coconut cake with caramel filling.
Thank you, Mahtab, for adding a little sweetness to our table!

It was wonderful to see some of our wonderful clients in person, as well as to meet new faces as well!
If you attended the event, let us know what you thought in the comments below.

Our first I Do Bridal Event was a great success, and we look forward to next year!
