Black & White & Red all over

Recently, I did a lovely wedding for a lovely couple.  They love all things red, black, white,  Disney and of course, each other!
The first project they hired me for was the invite.  I went with simple and sophisticated and stuck with their palette, of course.  I used two lovely fonts and a simple motif.
I also added some dimension to the invite by adding layers and enclosed it all in a shimmery gatefold card.
I carried the motif through to the envelope by mimicking it with my calligraphy.
As a lover of Disney myself, I had to include their a picture of the cake topper.  I added the wreath of roses to circle Mickey and Minnie.
Not only did we put roses on the cake, we put roses EVERYWHERE!!  Tables, chairs, floor and I also made some rose balls for the flower girls to carry down the aisle.
I hope Nicole and Gregory are as happy together as Minnie and Mickey!

{Event} Bridal Show at The Grove...and an Exciting Announcement

Happy Friday everyone!

Here are some pictures from the bridal event we participated in last weekend at Maggiano's at The Grove.

Most of the banquet rooms upstairs were occupied by lots of fabulous vendors. Mimosas were served, music was playing, and of course there was cake tasting :)

We decided to go with the same theme for our display that we did at Unveiled.
We were able to display our sweetheart table in a cozy little corner, along with our banner.

This time, the cupcakes were donated by the lovely Sweet E's Bake Shop. The sparkly pink frosting coordinated perfectly with our theme!

So what's the exciting announcement, you're wondering?

We were contacted by the producer of California Adventure TV, a local show that broadcasts on KCal9 in Los Angeles. They are doing a wedding segment in May, and wanted to know if they could feature us in the segment!

You can imagine our excitement!

So the field producer Cole came out to the event to get some footage of our products and to interview us on camera.

It was definitely a great learning experience! We were a little nervous for the interview, but Cole did a great job of easing our nerves (and filming several takes ;)

All I can say is that news broadcasters and television personalities make it look so easy!

It was definitely an enjoyable and memorable experience. We will post the segment here on our blog as soon as it is available, and let you know when it will be airing on KCal9!
Thank you to Cole for all your hard work, and to Natalie, our dear friend and client for giving us rave reviews! ;)

{Special Project} Monique Lhuillier Trunk Show

Happy Monday everyone! What a busy weekend we had! Lots of photos to come this week from our latest events and special projects.

Last week, we had the privilege of collaborating with Sweet E's Bake Shop on some favors for Monique Lhuillier. They were having a trunk show on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at their store on Melrose, and Sweet E's provided these gorgeous cake pops for the event.

We were asked to create coordinating tags to go on the cake pops.

We were very pleased with how they turned out and we hope the brides enjoyed them!

Another sweet collaboration with our friends at Sweet E's :)

Bridal Event at The Grove

Happy Friday everyone!

Just wanted to let you know that we will be displaying at an intimate bridal event this weekend.

It will be held at Maggiano's at The Grove
Sunday, April 17th, 2011
10am-2pm
Admission is free

We would love to see you there!

Unveiled 2011...unveiled!

Well, here we have it...photos of our display at Unveiled 2011...unveiled! :)

We are so excited with the response to our booth this year. The following photos are by Laura and her assistants at Beautiful Day Photography, who were showcasing their talent at the event.

And all of the fabulous cupcakes were donated by Cupcakery.

Enjoy!

These were flower boxes filled with both real and paper flowers~the paper flowers had the names of people/vendors both attending the event and sponsoring the event. We had names like Martha Stewart (editors from Martha Stewart weddings attended), Darcy Miller, William Arthur, etc.
We wanted to showcase a different idea for table numbers; basically, you can put your guests' names on the paper flowers and insert them in flower boxes labeled with the table numbers.

Overall Unveiled 2011 was a great success! Thank you to all who came by to say hello :) It was a pleasure meeting you and we look forward to collaborating with you soon!
