Paradise in a Box :: A Beach Themed Invitation

It evokes images of lazy afternoons, toes in the sand, days in the sun....

So when you're planning a summer gathering, what better inspiration to use than the sights, colors, and textures of the beach?

That's exactly what we did for a client of ours, who was planning a retreat for their employees in Hawaii (jealous! :)

They wanted to send "Paradise in a Box" to their top employees, and invite them to a special getaway.

So we took their advice and sent a small piece of paradise to each recipient.

We took a white box, and created "the beach" by first putting a layer of adhesive down, then sprinkling sand over it. We used a heavy duty adhesive to layer shells of different sizes, sprinkled with more sand for good measure, and let it dry.

For the inside of the lid, we layered a shell print paper, then a textured linen card stock with the details of the celebration. 

We wrapped the outside with a layer of kraft paper, addressed and sent them, and there you have it! A slice of paradise in a box.
